About

HAN is a university of applied sciences based in the Netherlands. There are many different academies ranging from biomolecular sciences to civil engineering. The research group ‘Sustainable River Management’ consists of a team of researchers focusing upon spatial challenges, water, rivers, sediments and dikes. This research group will be involved in the Floating Future project.

Role in the Project

Research group Sustainable River Management from the HAN participates in the Floating Future project by working together with students from different disciplines to solve a challenge that comes from a company. How to manage water spaces, can we potentially built driving islands and would it be possible to use locally derived resources for floating solutions? Researchers with knowledge about biobased materials, circular economy and river management will be involved in this project.
