About

At the Climate Adaptation Lectorate, as a research and training institute of the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, we are working hard to make our living environment more sustainable. Using tools such as full-scale tests and climate cafes, we analyze problems and solutions to our changing urban climate and design innovative measures.

Role in the Project

Climate adaptation, mitigation, participatory research and citizen science are topics which Hanze University of Applied Sciences has wide experience in, which they will contribute to one of the workpackages, WP4. Special attention is given to the use of the instrument ClimateCafé. The Climate Café method was developed by dr. ir. Floris Boogaard. The method takes several days and consists of field excursions, measurements, interactive design workshops, roundtable discussions and presentations.
